Peak Candle Type

Peak Candle clones - Why ours are so good!

Our chemists uses a GC-MS (gas chromatography - mass spectrometry) machine. The gas chromatography portion separates the original sample into pulses of pure chemicals. Then, the mass spectrometer identifies each chemical used and quantifies each one as a percentage. This means that we have a duplicate fragrance that is a virtual clone of the original sample oil! Strong and true.

Not sure how much fragrance to use in the product you want to make? First, you need to understand the maximum percentages that specific product base will typically accept.

CP, HP, CPOP Soap: 6%
MP Soap: 3%
Lotions and Scrubs: 1-2%
Bath Bombs, Salts & Soaks: 5-10%
Candles: 6-12% (depends upon wax used)

The actual percentage you end up using should be based upon the IFRA maximum, the maximum your product base will accept and what % of fragrance it takes to make your product smell awesome! A good starting place is using the LOWEST of these three percentages.

EXAMPLE:

Desired scent strength: 5%
Maximum CP base load: 6%
IFRA Maximum: 12%

This means you should start with 5% of this particular fragrance in your CP soap as that is the lowest of all three numbers. Remember, you are not limited to this percentage. You can use up to 12%. However, this is a great place to start.

We certify that the above fragrance oil is in compliance with the most recent standards published by the INTERNATIONAL FRAGRANCE ASSOCIATION (IFRA) as provided to us by our supplier.
