Apricot Kernel Oil
Apricot Kernel Oil is a wonderfully moisturizing oil that easily absorbs into the skin. It is similar to sweet almond oil and is suited for more mature, aging skin. It's perfect for soaps, lotions and creams. It is high in oleic acid making this very conditioning to the skin as well.
Avocado Oil
Avocado oil is a super-rich choice to use in soaps because it has so many things going for it! First of all, it's gentle enough for even the most sensitive of skins and is super-conditioning and hydrating due to the high concentration of oleic acid. This oil is also has a good palmitic acid content which helps contribute to a harder bar of soap. Use up to 20%.
Babassu Oil
Babassu Oil is very similar to Coconut Oil in composition. It is solid at room temperature and melts at around 76 degrees F. It is known to help make a harder, bubblier and more cleansing bar of soap - just like coconut does. It is absorbed easily and quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. It will work well in soaps, butters, lotions and lip balms.
Castor OIl
Soapers simply love Castor Oil! It is humectant so it attracts moisture to the skin as well as helps to create wonderful bubbles. It adds an emolliency to soap recipes but should be kept at a lower percentage else your soaps will be very soft. Rich in fatty acids it's both lubricating and soothing.
Cherry Kernel Oil
Cherry Kernel Oil is a wonderfully rich oil containing vitamin A and which is high in Oleic acids. It makes a great addition to butters, balms and lotions as it penetrates the skin easily. In soaps, it is highly conditioning.
Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet Almond Oil is a very versatile oil and can be used in a multitude of products. It's well known that it's used as a massage oil and is rich in vitamins E and D. In soaps it's super-conditioning being high in oleic acid.
